Our stop by Oneida Lake comes with too few pictures, very unfortunately. We were having too much fun to stop and document.
Uncle Joe very helpfully fixed some organizational problems by installing hooks into our van without drilling any holes or modifying any Mercedes parts. Ingenious. Hooks both inside and outside!
There was a gigantic impromptu family party. Aunts and Uncles and Cousins, oh my! And the weather at the lake was perfect. We were so surprised at all the people who came to see us off, and admire our STAR CAR. (We joked that our van was itself the celebrity, and should come with its own star.)
We set up tents, and had such a perfect night and lovely morning the next day that it was difficult to leave. This was our view for our morning oatmeal.
We swam, we played, and ate, and drank, and then tore ourselves away to head off to Ithaca.
