GLACIER!

Glacier National Park is BEAUTIFUL but it's name is almost out of date.

The glaciers that are there are disappearing, and according to the available literature will be gone in the next 20 !!! years. That's really soon, people. That means, when Theo is old enough to take his own road trip to Glacier National Park, there will be no glaciers to see!

I'm going to keep all our Glacier things in one post, even though we were there for quite a few nights.

These were the views as we were getting there.
Forest fires!

The Rockies!
One night right at the east entrance, at the campground that Brian had reserved months in advance.
This is where Rainer and Peter and Papby FINALLY caught up with us! We were so excited!

The clothespins are to protect the little tent from the impending rainstorm. The party tent, no joke, came with doormats, which is what we used as that mini rainfly.
Here's the view from the dumpster! Literally, everywhere we looked was magical.
Eh, from the roadside, if you like that sort of things.

huckleberries at Rising Sun

Felix loved them.

Agnes out.

Do we look alike??

Dirt is better than toys.

Stylin' when hiking with Papa.

Tree pose on the boardwalk.

First dip in Glacier water!

Not a Glacier, but melting snowcap, in bare feet! It was more than 80 degrees out!

They understood "put your hats together" (instead of "put your hands together")

Making huckleberry jelly (over the fire)

And enjoying Huckleberry beer.

Saying goodbye to the glaciers. (that little patch of snow in the distance is all we saw of one)
